Alright~!. I'm about to awe you all with a trick I use in photoshop too many times as requested by hooba Fun, easy, attractive, pointless you name it. This is very easy so chill. It'll take less than 5 minutes. Before we even think about starting, first open your photoshop. Any will do. I'm using photoshop 7 =) lol! Yes I think you are lazy pigs that don't know crap bout' Photoshop. Ok ok after doing that sweatful task, open the picture you want to use. I used this one : It's a picture from the big f1 event. =D Alright. Wasn't so hard was it? Now is where the fun starts (as if) Okay. Now I will use that ugly goofy looking dude with the pink bracelet on the right as my subject. Grab the magnetic lasso tool and lasso around the subject like so. Yea it's messed up and not done neatly. I did on purpose. No worries on messing it up too much, just finish the selection and touch up later. =) Right. Now you're almost done. Simply hit ctrl+shift+I to inverse the entire selection. You'll get somthing like this Now go to Image > Adjustments > Hue and saturation at the menu and do exactly this Make sure the colorize box at the bottom left is ticked. just hit ctrl+D and then you will have your black and white pic-accept-for-the-one-you-wanted-to-have-colour! Yea, it's a working title =)

thx max...juz one question tho...in dat pic u choose the object n the rest will be left out right?but then the coloured pic will be quite odd bcoz there's too much contrast between the object n the rest..i saw this one pic where the object gradually become colorless..so it'll blend wif da bg more...assume in ur pic...its quite the same xcept the shirt gradually bcome colorless...like its fading away....got it?how to do that? here's da example... photos1.blogger.com/hello/113/2223/400/RIMG00711.jpgps: asaad's hand looked kinda weird in dat pic..kinda like he lost his left arm...

No worries.. I see the pic. I don't really know how they did that pic but I have a clue how and after fiddling round with photoshop for a couple of minutes I made a breakthrough! Well, I still don't know how they did that, but I think it has to do with the blending options.. Anyhow what I found out was that to get a better black and white convert without losing quality is by using the gradient map. And doing the whole process I got this Which I can say has better quality than my first one

max..1 ps question...can we play with the focus..like in one oic with two objects...can we focus in to the other object so that the another object looked blur..kinda lika in da movie thingy... where da camera focus to a person dat's near n then focus out on another person that's quite far away....u understand?
Post by <Max> on Nov 29, 2006 10:33:38 GMT 7
so you want to blur an object thats near and focus on an object thats further away and/or vice versa?
